Great choice for men's socks

My husband loves these socks and requested more for Christmas. He wears them all the time and especially likes the way they feel when he wears boots, either work boots or casual boots. The wool is not scratchy, the socks launder well, and they have a medium cushion for comfort. It wicks moisture away from your foot, so there is minimal odor. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is because there is no sizing chart on the ordering information. I ordered a Large just guessing. The socks came and the sticker on the packaging says US Mens: 9-11.5 My husband wears a 9.5 so thankfully a Large was the right size. I hope this helps someone else. I don't know why Amazon cannot include the number sizes in parentheses next to the S, M, and L. It sure would help. BTW, I ordered these in the color gray, not knowing exactly what kind of gray it was. I am very happy with the color - it is super neutral and would go easily with jeans or khakis.

Awesome socks

After using synthetic socks for activities from in-line skating to hiking and loving them, I found out about Smartwool socks after bying a Smartwool zip t-shirt for use as a mid layer for outdoor winter activities. These socks are incredibly comfortable with great padding on the bottom. They also kept my feet nice and warm when hiking in the snow with it being 20 degrees outside. I would highly recommend them.

Can't say enough good stuff about Smartwool socks. I live in them all winter long. The difficulty is finding the right heft. I find the "hiking medium" to be good for day-to-day winter activities in Seattle.
